The first 6 years were 30 minute episodes ( a little over 200) but the last 400+ in the last 14 years were an hour long. That was back when tv seasons had 30+ episodes in a single season. I have also watched Bonanza in it's entirely and I like it better than Gunsmoke. It was 14 seasons and over 400 episodes. All 1 hour long and has the rare distinction of being in color the entire time.
