| archizzy 07/24/25 9:09:00 PM #14: | As dumb as this sounds most of the dads I found from tv shows growing up were too wholesome. The old stuff like Leave it to Beaver and Father Knows best. Even stuff from the 80's like Family Ties and Growing Pains the dads were just way too clean cut and borderline perfect. Don't get me wrong I didn't grow up in dysfunction or anything and my dad was awesome but my dad was more like Dan Connor on Roseanne. Hard working guy that would crack jokes and wore jeans and flannel and was blue collar.
