U.S. Navy and my current job I'm at right now (literally as in I'm at work answering this) since June 28th 1999. Lay offs simply never happen at my job. It is virtually impossible and even if it happened I'm a high level employee who has the most seniority so it wouldn't happen to me even if they decided to lay off a few lower level guys. And in an unrealistic crazy event where I lost my job I think I would simply just go into retirement at this point. You have my sympathy though.
