I'm not surprised to see it, but in the midterms at least I don't see this being too much of a factor. I don't really think the average voter is invested in political parties as much as we think, even if a large chunk of people vote R or D no matter what.

edit: but yeah, they need to try harder and need to be more in touch with people and what they really want. I'd love to see a huge Democrat/left wing media group to rise up and go after young people and fill their social media feeds with good messages they need to hear and not the toxic messages they are sometimes forced to hear from right wing losers.

edit2: a lot of their accomplishments(or non accomplishments but good looks like every single Democrat in every stage voting against the BBW bill) need to actually be championed more. People upset about losing healthcare coverage? 97% of republicans in the house and senate voted for it, with 0% of Democrats. People need to know who the fuck did what, and that's hard because of media manipulation and idiocy and no larger network that just seeps into peoples feeds like right wing losers somehow do.
