Literally none of that is "painting them as weak freaks," unless you think any criticism of the party in power and your opponent is "calling them weak freaks." He also promoted his record of cooperation and promised an era of bipartisanship. A huge part of this campaign was "I will reach across the aisle."

Pleaase note from a section you yourself posted:

His election night speech included calls on Republicans and Democrats to resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long. He promised on the trail to invite lawmakers for weekly cocktails at the WH.

Did Obama attack Republicans? Yeah. But that wasn't the assertion
That's the point. It was part of a two-pronged strategy, which is what El_Dustino suggested to appeal to the voters you asked about. Obama already succeeded with this strategy.

You sell them a bold and exciting narrative like Obamna 2008 and then paint the right like the weak freaks they are.

American swing voters are, frankly, insane. They have bizarre priorities, don't pay attention, believe total falsehoods, etc.

One of the issues is Dems are winning the educated, engaged voters. How do we appeal to everyone else who don't even remember Trump was president and think some random yahoo quoted in the news who's some protester is representative of the entire Democratic Party
