Then through various moments throughout the series you learn Walt has been an egotistical asshole his whole entire life and your views adjust with the story.i've never watched breaking bad, cant get past like the second episode where they try to melt a body in a bathtub, but if its anything like better call saul then i imagine you spend most of the series trying to like the MC and ignoring all his faults until you reach a point that you cant keep rationalizing away how much of an asshole they are. --- Taarsidath-an halsaam.
