Precipice
Battle - f8 One Who Stands Against God

Thats my support! Thats my support in the retirement round! B1s been a funny division. Accused of being a cakewalk for Precipice, it nonetheless had multiple beloved songs for me: Evil nutshells, Amalgamaniac, Original Me, The Shores of Heaven. Now that Precipice has made it to the spot everyone expected, I can say Im happy its here. I have no enmity with Did You See the Ocean? either. Secret of Mana (2018) may already have an excellent retiree in Prophecy, but its a wide-ranging OST with plenty of picks like this one that have the wow factor.

Match 2 is the good vs. evil match except the evil song is the hero and the good song is the villain. Makes you think. In seriousness, I remember someone said in R1 that Battle f8 has too much buildup before the drop at 1:20, and at the time I agreed, but now I have a different perspective, which is that this song benefits a lot from listening to the full 6 minute loop. After the nerve-wracking back-and-forth drumbeat outro, the looped intro feels like a necessary reset and destress, as much as you can destress to a song like this anyway. And by this point, the evil atmosphere has sunk in so deep that the intro doesnt feel its length anymore. Yeah, you can tell Ive been looping this song for a while now.

Turns out, the Turks were not so incompetent as to lose to birds. Now the question is, can they defeat the chosen people of God? This retirement round is blaspheming all over the place.
