Topic	jenova is a more compelling villain than sephiroth (FF7 spoilers)

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I don't think he is obsessed with Cloud in the original game. Cloud is just a convenient pawn because he's close to Aerith and they get access to the Black Materia.
