A few weeks back, I started watching One Piece again on a whim after seeing a clip in my feed where Luffy arrives on Kuja Island or whatever, and then decided I wanted to watch to the end of that arc... and then to the end of Impel Down for a few key moments. However, it wasn't until right at the end of Impel Down that I really noticed how much filler this show has. Whole episodes could be done in five minutes or less instead of the twenty it sometimes takes to do something basic.

The other tough thing was recalling when certain things happened since I haven't seen/read some of the arcs before this (ie, Water7/Enies Lobby, Thriller Bark, and... well, basically everything from Skypiea to I think just before Sabody) and after this (I dropped off early during Fishman Island), as well as remembering what Luffy is able to do at this point in the story.

Also, the attention to continuity is terrible. Luffy "learns" Jinbei is a warlord like 4 or 5 times and acts surprised in each instance.
