Plot twists involve a giant magic barrier preventing you from taking a to b so you do thing c to remove the barrier oh ok now we can proceed with this. The kid finds out he's a god and immediately turns into a megalomaniac without any foreshadowing, nuance, development, etc. and then just as quickly switches back when his daddy comes to save him. There's no depth to the characters, no progression.
