But once you start to actually look at his life, you find very little, if anything, to be jealous of. For starters he is an alcoholic, often slurs his speech and I am going to assume its damaged his memory to some degree. He has a gambling addiction. He may not go to casinos to waste away all his money, but pissing away most of your income on a gacha game so you can digitally feel good about yourself, isn't much better. He is in an utterly loveless marriage. At best the whole situation is transactional. We know that they dont always share a bed together. At worst she is just his live in maid. He has alienated everyone that has ever been in his life, except for his parents, and they are only ATMs to them. I honestly believe he is waiting for them to die so he gets some inheritence. I'd put money on his father resenting him and his mom is just being manipulated into giving him money because Phil is her only son. He lives as a hermit, an absolute shut in. Going out for groceries, to him, already is a monumental task and we can safely assume he hates every second of it. Because of his "lifestyle" he also has absolutely no clue how to talk to people, or know how people generally talk. He often misunderstands or misuses words, and his vocabulary seems very limited. He has no one to talk to but himself. He clearly HATES streaming. He hates that he has to do anything to make money. He seems convinced that just turning on the camera should net him a paycheck. And it is very clear he has no enjoyment for the games he plays, except for a few small exceptions when a game features gambling. He complains about his situation, but never takes action to change, improve it. We know his plumbing is fucked, and he refuses to spend money to do something about it, not even his wife. But the ultimate saddest part is: no one will miss him if he is gone.
