The failure of denazification was one of the reasons for mass demonstrations by the younger generation, and even the formation of terror groups like Baader-Meinhof. No country can just get rid of its Nazis. They'll always be around. What they can do is stamp out their symbols and their propaganda. Most effectively by creating an environment in which Nazis feel unable to be open without being socially ostracised instead of normalised as 'just a different opinion'. Because Nazism isn't 'an opinion'.
