Not all wasps are aggressive, anyway. I honestly hate them and am afraid of them, due to experiences as a kid, but wasps do serve a purpose in nature. Nothing wrong with OP treating one well, and obviously this is one of the species that isn't overly aggressive.

Also I thought the topic title was calling the wasp a fed, lmao. I obviously need more sleep.

It is the same with ants. Some will bite you soon as look at you, but others are more friendly. When I was hiking the AT, there were these scary mothers, big as wasps, but they were always crawling on me and never biting, so I just gently brushed them off.

They were very NOSY, though! They were constantly getting into my backpack to see what was in it.
