There a rumor that the IRS has contingency funding for 5 additional business days of work.

This would suck because I was looking forward to so time off after working so much overtime this year, but it's weird because we haven't heard anything about this from official channels yet. If we're supposed to report to work tomorrow no matter what happens with the funding then I don't see why they wouldn't have made an announcement by now. (The probable answer is incompetence)

Also an email was distributed to the entire Treasury department about half an hour before my shift ended that specifically talked about how hard Trump was trying to avoid a shutdown and how if there was a shutdown it would be because of the Democrats.

I'm 99% sure that it is a violation of the Hatch act so I'll be figuring out how to report that after I get home from my dentist appointment. It was pretty grossly partisan in a way that has no business being in official government communications.
