Sure, he had a large and devoted fanbase who went to his shows (including me), and (although I mistakenly thought they didn't chart), his albums were still doing well. But I still think he was kind of a legacy act. He was generally seen as past his prime. Generally if you're doing the Super Bowl you either need to be still hugely popular or a legacy act that has established itself as one of the undisputed all-time greats. lmao @ Lee fucking Greenwood. --- man - noun.
