There's one distro that is basically a fork of the existing 2.0 to run proton and another one that reverse engineered the 3.0 OS to get it to install elsewhere. I am not sure how active development on those OS are but both of them have their own unique drawbacks and neither of them can truly replace the Steam deck OS. I guess I'll need to play with a Steam deck one of these days.
