Because Trump will see that and just think it's a king's crown probably, and I wonder if that was intentional from South Korea or not.

It's a very famous crown. It's well over 1,000 years old, used by a dynasty Koreans call the 'Thousand-Year Kingdom' because it actually lasted for exactly 992 years. And was important historically because it was the first one to unite Korea into one kingdom.

I have absolutely no idea why that mob boss buffoon is giving the American buffoon a replica of that priceless historic artifact though.

No, he gave it to him. It's a replica of an actual crown in ancient Korea. He also gave him a medal bestowing Korea's highest civilian honor.

Not if you're Korea and need to play some realpolitik for literally existential reasons.

'Realpolitik' for Lee means thinking that South Korea is much too precious an ally for the US to give up, so feeling free to stomp on the US's toes and insulting Japan at every opportunity while buttering up China and trying to cut a deal in propping up the North Korean regime.

Guess he's just getting a bit of cold feet since Trump is somewhat, well, unpredictable.
