The fact that most of these are original anime rather than manga/LN adaptations is pretty telling. Adaptations just aren't as fun for me as a good original.

Probably a hot take, but anime original is just better. Most adaptations are glorified commercials for the source material at best, actively changing the story or barely even qualifying as animation at worst. With an original anime, what you see is what you get, a full fucking story. So yeah, original anime are superior and the only thing that could possibly change my mind would be Spice and Wolf getting a full adaptation in my lifetime.
