My first two consoles as a kid were the SNES and Sega Genesis, but after that I moved to Sony and never looked back. I've never owned an N64, and while I did spend a lot of time on Nintendo handhelds, I only recently purchased a 3DS and haven't gotten around to any of the best games. In total, over 80% of the list is comprised of games played on a Playstation console. I've also never played a Zelda, Castlevania, Metroid, or Metal Gear game.

There are also quite a few games on this list that are ranked higher than better games, however a big part of gaming for me has been the memories that I attach to games, and so there are many "worse" games that I enjoyed more than "better" games, and these are things that I will be mentioning in my write-ups.

The first four games will be posted very soon, but I wanted to show just how crazy my gaming history is by pointing out how many games come from each console. In terms of the placement, I used which console the game was first released on, not which system I played it on, except for games released first in arcades, in which I listed their console debut. Many of the Playstation games are multiplatform, in which case they are only listed on the Playstation console. The two PC games are (were) exclusive at the time.
