Whoops, skipped a book

The Fifth Elephant, the 24th Discworld book, finished. The Duke of Ankh was tasked by Lord Vetinari to go on a diplomatic mission to Uberwald to attend the Low King of the Dwarves' coronation. Unfortunately for Samuel Vimes, he's the Duke now. As he and his wife sets off on a working holiday, Carrot is left in charge of the City Watch. However, circumstances surrounding Angua meant Carrot left his post to the other senior officer... Fred Colon. To top it off, mysterious burglaries and murder back at Ankh Morpork seem to hint at something more sinister. Vimes has more things to worry about, such as Dwarves, Vampires, and Werewolves, and finding out the real truth of the thing and the whole of the thing.

Best Part:
- Vimes gets the spotlight here and he's really showing off his stuff.
- Lady Sybil finally gets to share the spotlight alongside her husband, and has powerful moments of her own, like her breaking down when she thinks she disappointed Sam during the hostage situation, standing up to Serafine and escaping the Werewolves' castle, and even used Opera to stop a bloodbath
- LMAO Fred Colon self-destructed faster than Azula did in The Last Airbender. I love that because of how horribly he ran the watch (from 60 to only 5 recruits remain in the roster), the entire sprawling crime scene of Ankh Morpork stopped because of fear of what Commander Vimes would do when he returns and found out what Fred did. I still don't get what happened to Fred's sugar cubes though.
- Lady Margolotta finally shows up! Vetinari's waifu is one cool lady. I love her and her pink jumper embroidered with bats and the dog that suspiciously looks like a giant rat. Best part is totally Vetinari going all misty eyed remembering her and Margolotta prying info about Vetinari from Vimes.
- The Low King is a pretty cool dude as well, sees through everything once Vimes explained things, and even managed to force a confession out of Dee.
- GASPODE'S BACK YAAAAAYYYYY!!!
- Inigo Skimmer had a lot of potential as an Assassin sent to guard Vimes, and seemed like he was starting to see Vimes's way, but alas, Wolfgang got to him first. At least he had Oddjob's hat, +1 cool points.
- Wolfgang is a scary, scary villain. Part dumb, part cunning, and all muscle, the dude can tear apart any human easily and easily toyed with Vimes and a spy, and made short work of an Skimmer, Carrot, and Gavin. It took Gaspode to take him down the first time, and the second time Angua fought him to a standstill and she's still messed up afterwards (though that's more out of fear from being eternally stalked), and Vimes finally had to step in and put him down. I love Vimes' reasoning for not saying any of the quips he thought of. Wolfgang just needed to be put down. I love how Vimes killed him too, with the mortar.
- The game was just ****ing cruel
- I love that Death latched onto Vimes now that Rincewind is relatively safe

Another excellent City Watch entry... though it's more of a Vimes book. I wasn't sure if I preferred Jingo to it or not... ehh. Still, yay Margolotta
