Night 3

Mario had spent the entire day running. Something about Obama’s eyes earlier really terrified him. It was like the man dared him to drop the ax on his head and Mario just didn’t have it in him. He was ashamed of himself for turning on the man who had offered him food and shelter, but he knew that his only way to survive was to be the last man standing. He ran and ran until the sun fell beyond the horizon. Only once it was dark did Mario finally stop running. He found an empty garage and almost immediately passed out from exhaustion.

After several hours of resting RFC and Koga agreed that it would be best to move on from this building with its incessant metal banging. Plus the smell of their fallen foes decaying in the corner was beginning to make them feel ill. They moved the shelf out of the way and worked their way towards the factory exit. They were both still feeling rather weak from their previous fights and agreed that they should stay together to have each others back. They started walking south with no proper destination in mind.

As Larry explored the construction site he came across a pack of matches. He was delighted with this find, but also felt stupid that he hadn’t searched harder the day before so as to avoid all of the exhausting failed attempts at lighting the expired gasoline. He found a large metal drum and began stuffing it with as much scrap wood as he could gather. Once the barrel was full he tossed in a couple of lit matches and within a few short minutes he had a roaring fire going.

As Jen crept around the corner of a building she spotted a flickering light in the distance. She was intrigued and thought that if someone had fire then they might have food as well. She knew that she could be walking straight into an ambush but she was willing to risk it. She had nothing else to lose at this point. She hopped over piles of wood and made her way into the partially constructed building where she saw the raging fire with a lone figure warming himself next to it. Jen approached slowly as Larry turned toward her and a large smile crossed his face. He was thrilled to finally make contact with a female out here. He motioned for her to join him by the fire, putting his hands up to show her that he didn’t mean her any harm. She walked over to the fire as Larry started plotting her seduction.

After what seemed like an eternity Balor managed to pull himself out of the massive quarry. He had vomited up bile several times on his journey and he felt increasingly weak. He leaned against a pile of gravel trying to gain his composure when he heard voices talking in the distance. He couldn’t make out who they were, but at this point he would be happy to see anyone. He stumbled towards the sound of the voices and eventually walked into a lit area. He looked up to see Jen and Larry chatting. Balor held up his hand to say hi before falling to the ground in exhaustion. Jen gasped at the sight of the injured Balor and Larry used this as an opportunity to show her what a caring guy he was. He pulled Balor from the ground and sat his back against a wall close enough that he would be kept warm by the blaze. He fanned Balor’s face as he started to come to. Balor looked up and simply smiled in thanks before closing his eyes and going to sleep. Jen obviously seemed concerned for this injured boy but Larry thought he did a pretty good job showing her his sensitive side. He walked back over to Jen and put an arm around her and assured him that Balor would be alright after some rest.
