So I finished the game.

Overall it's a fantastic game. There are 1000 nitpicks, some of them curiously bizarre considering the level of attention to detail the rest of the game shows.

Still a couple of things In the plot I didn't either understand or follow

For starters, why is it that half the people we hear from in the past didn't seem all that bothered about the fact exctinction was afoot. They spoke like it a nusance.

But anyway I'm kinda lost on how the new civilization started. Gaia raised kids, they ran out of food and so had to be sent out early... and those kids went off and formed all these tribes? There only seemed to be like 10 of them..

I know Apollo failed but I don't get how those kids ended up creating the Nora, Carta etc. Let alone founding religions and towns..

Also why the fuck was humanity so stupid? "We made ourselves extinct with robots, let's fix this by making robots, but we need to include an AI that wants to make us extinct because what could possibly go wrong! Also let's bring the guy who caused extinction to occur in the first place on the team because that'll end well!"

i know they handwave that it was a failsafe incase Gaia screwed up but that seems weak to me.

Also how did Gaia get baby Aloy out of the Mountain? The door was shut and even if it wasn't, how did it move her from the cradle to the outside?

Anyways, Plot was a little bananas, Aloy is a weak character. But the gameplay was great and the world was beautiful, by the half way point I stopped caring about the past and Aloy's history and just wanted to more stuff with the Carta.

^ Hey now that's completely unfair.
