The commentator has a good point, she does get a pass for what she is saying. If someone white were to say the opposite, it would be a totally different story. Granted, she isn't really all that well known---most people probably don't know who she is---but she is a representative of BLM and there are plenty of other examples of other prominent BLM members who share and voice the same sentiments.

Yet, the media will either view their group positively or at the worst in a neutral manner.

Any white person or group saying the exact same thing as she did is always presented extremely negatively by the media and would likely lose their job if they had one.
