I know University of Utah isn't BYU, but they're also federally funded. They probably couldn't because the feds would of been upset somehow. They also have to have some kind of Mormon leadership somewhere along the chain or some kind of Mormon-influence from something. It's Utah, and Utah's biggest city. Not trying to "Mormon bash" or anything, just saying they have different beliefs and hold them fairly strongly; not saying it's right or wrong, just stating the facts.
