Topic | Nintendo releasing the Switch in March ended up being a good idea |
DoctorVader 04/30/17 10:05:32 PM #37: | Darmik posted... 900k in the launch month in America alone can't just be written off by scalpers and die hards though. That's already beating the Wii U and that released for the holiday season. If April is above 400-500k as well the Switch is selling extremely well for its launch window. The Wii U sold the exact same shit. 430k in two weeks vs 906k in a month. It can easily be explained by scalpers. The fact that you're in Australia and you're speaking on the US scalper market is pure ignorance. Zelda Switch sold more than the Switch, which S1 pointed. Why? Because there were 3 versions, many which people double and triple dipped on. I alone triple dipped. The rest went to scalpers who are still peddling their stuff even now. Nothing you're saying proves anything. It's all speculation because there's tons of factors involved that you're steady ignoring. It's not past that window at all. 6 weeks vs 8 weeks is not some huge difference. The demand from scalpers is obviously helping the perception of demand. Same shit happened with amiibos. It was sold out everywhere and being bought up as soon as it restocked till the second Nintendo fully flooded the market. Within a few months, stores were throwing them on clearance for $5. --- It all just disappears, doesn't it? Everything you are, gone in a moment, like breath on a mirror. - The Doctor ...
