Yeah, I think i'll pass on the target bikes for now. A store nearby is selling $599 bikes for $399, which is a pretty good deal, so I may check that out (and it's close to home so I can get there easy on foot).

I may see if they rent bikes anywhere nearby. They do in Seattle, but I don't think they do in Olympia. That would let me try it out and see if I really like riding a bike around or if I'm just gonna use my car anyway.

Don't wanna blow $400 even and then find I don't actually like using the bike!!


You get what you pay for. Target bikes are huge pieces of shit. They way a ton, and have bottom of the barrel parts that will not last.

The real cycling bikes cost a lot for a reason - they are farrrrr more comfortable, are lighter, and last longer. You also want to make sure you get a bike that fits your height. Riding on the wrong bike can destroy your knees in no time.
