I also hate when your character crits and kills an enemy just to free a spot for a new enemy to run in a kill you. Yeah, that's probably a far more common occurrence than the "enemy 1% crit". Though while I can't think of any instances offhand, I suspect my worst luck probably involves missing a 90+% hit chance right at the end of a turn, allowing a unit I expected to kill on the player phase to pick off a weaker unit on the enemy phase.
