But overall Pierce is definitely the best case-specific character. For a case in a later game, I feel like this case needed just a bit more scope. A second realistic red herring - a guy like Herman Crab - could have made it amazing. They leaned too heavily on the time-travel gimmick to sell the case, and once that was exposed, there wasn't enough meat left on the case. --- yet all sailors of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness ...
