I also remember at the time that people were calling RBY's performance disappointing and an indication it wasn't THAT strong because it couldn't beat MGS, and more or less ignoring what else was in the poll. People were still in Pokeshock by then. I remember people being really impressed by RBY there, this was the birth of Pokefear.
