FF6 is probably a top 5 game on the site, and got shafted by meeting number 2 or 3 (FF7) in the quarters. MGS3 beat Mother 3, BioShock, Mass Effect 2 and MGS1 - still an impressive path but you can't really look at just what round games were eliminated in to determine strength. Super Metroid only eventually lost to Majora's Mask and Mega Man X put up a damn impressive performance on FFX.
