And aren't most of the human Z fighters currently in Super around Gohan's level when he first went SSJ2 if not stronger? Assuming Frieza doesn't stumble onto Earth by accident since he has no reason to currently go there, they can take plenty of time to train (hyperbolic time chamber), wipe out the androids before they even do anything, off Cell when he arrives from the future as soon as he arrives (since he's weakened when he arrives and needs time to get his strength back), then deal with Buu.
