Whats the logic behind Hiragana being easier than Katakana? Both were the same for me, same number of characters in each syllabary, right?

hiragana look more distinct imo, there's a bunch of katakana that look very similar to each other

also hiragana get used a lot more so you'll see them a lot more so you'll get a lot more practice and they'll just naturally feel easier


This. I always thought katakana was harder. I even had an easier time with Kanji because I am very visual and can remember complicated details. But throw two simple things with a slight variegation and I'll mix them up all the time.

And I say speaking Japanese in a formal way is very difficult.
