The one Liquid emerged with on Shadow Moses, though there's no official statement about, should be assumed to be the original Ray. It differs from the mass produced ones inside Arsenal in that it is manually piloted (even the ones in Rising are AI), has a tail and has different headlights (or eyes). Though they might eventually later say it wasn't the original if they ever make more sequels, as it is, there's no reason to believe so. As for Rex vs Ray, probably Ray. Ray was designed as a Rex killer, afterall. Though this doesn't mean Ray would fare better than Rex against any other given opponent. No, Ray doesn't fly. Jumps very well, but doesn't fly. --- ...
