A lot of their early stuff was pure metal, and when they became a gunge band they still kept a bit of that metal in their music. As for my favorite genre, not really. I like metal, but usually the faster, more aggressive stuff. Even in the 90's I preferred alternative to grunge. --- I am a senior software engineer.
