Melee This is honestly a very tough matchup, although I probably like the games in 2001 better, you can't deny that all of the games in 1998 redefined their respective genres and setup franchises for many sequels which would build upon the mechanics established in these games. 2001 by comparison only has GTA 3 which redefined open world games, whereas MGS2, Melee and to a lesser extent Halo improved upon existing games. ...
