Totodile was a decent concept that was horribly butchered by the physical/special distribution prior to gen 4. By the time it became usable power creep had rendered it completely outclassed, I almost feel sorry for it. Plus if it had been added to a later gen, it probably would have received a second type. Water is one of the most over-saturated mono-types (probably second only to normal), made worse by the countless dual-types. Granted, the character design would still be kinda meh. Isn't there only two starters that are duel types? Depends on how you define "starter" You were waiting for that, weren't you? I sure was. If you define "starters" as the first form, then yeah you're right. Only Bulbasaur and Rowlet have two types. But if you include their evos, then yeah far more of them have two types. How do you define starters? Clearly Fritter was referring to more than its base form in his post because its base form is completely useless.
