Who said one of the "better fighters"? I never said nor insinuated it's "OMG BEST FIGHTER 2017" I just listed every fighting game I knew of coming out this year and it's definitely among them. It almost went to E3 as that ninth mystery pick people voted on. No it'll never be anywhere close to big in the FGC, hell, I don't think it will take off much at all, but it's still a fighter whether you like it or not.

You're waaaayyyyy in defensive mode ITT for no reason lol

Ask anyone on the Switch boards why ARMS is any good and they'll say the usual. It's a first party title. It's a Switch exclusive. It's a potential system seller. It's alleviating what is perceived as a drought in games. None of which has anything to do with the game itself.

Call it defensive or whatever the hell you want, I couldn't care less. That does nothing to take away from the point I'm making in any way whatsoever.

First off, you're dead wrong on what you said there. Plenty of people on the Switch board hype up the competitive aspect. Not sure how you don't know that unless you really haven't been there much.

Second, that still does nothing to deter from the fact that it's still a fighting game, and one that plays really well and is supposed to be pushed by Nintendo as a competitive fighting game. Like I said before, I think it has no chance of taking off, but that doesn't make it not a fighting game for some reason.
