I don't understand how there are people genuinely enthusiastic about Trump specifically because he's clearly an imbecile and it's impossible to hide that fact. I understand that Clinton seemed like an inverse George W Bush to conservatives and represented a very wrong direction for the country to them. But Trump is an embarrassing idiot that clearly doesn't understand how to run a government properly. His administration is in reaching the kind of dysfunction it takes banana republic dictatorships at least 10 years to get to and he's had power for 4 months. It's just nonstop scandal after scandal and not all of them are even remotely substantive (covfefe is baffling but obviously meaningless news) but its just an absolute crush of major news that could not possibly originate from a competent government.

In regards to the main point of the topic, what universe are you in that people aren't constantly calling Trump on his idiocy? Even major news organizations couch their stories in the general phrasing of "This is odd for a world lead but..." while seeing the replies for any of his tweets usually yields a near endless stream of "OMG YOU FUCKING DRUNK IDIOT! JUST GROW UP!" replies.
