Now in the circumstance where everyone is honest and we know a mafia roleblocker would do no harm you would be correct, you don't lynch the roleblocker. But when you have a claimed active scanner kicking around it is always the best play to go often the perceived mafia roleblocker.

The failing of town is relying on meta, but once the choice is made that Ben is likely scum, you kill the roleblocker every time. There will never be a time in history where I think someone is 90% mafia roleblocker and go "nah, let's not kill that one" it is the most powerful role in the game for scum.
