The Ted Nugent parallel is what makes me shake my head about this whole thing. Left-leaning celebrity makes a video clip with a mock-up severed head? Gets dropped by advertisers and slammed by all and sundry. Right-leaning celebrity makes remarks literally calling the President a "subhuman mongrel" and advocating executing him via hanging (along with a vague threat that he'd kill Obama himself)? Gets invited to dinner at the White House by Trump. There seems to be a bit of dissonance in these reactions. --- Kill 1 man: You are a murderer. Kill 10 men: You are a monster. Kill 100 men: You are a hero. Kill 10,000 men, you are a conqueror! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
