Kathy, during her press conference, was all like "im being threatened and im scared and it's not right" meanwhile her cultural appropriation of Islamic terrorism used to depict the presidents bloodied and severed head was to send the message of... um... sorry what was the message exactly??
Then she tried to play the 'oppressed woman in a rich old white man's world' card, while at the same time defending her right to free speech/expression, which... is hate speech isn't it? Except nothing anyone on the right is saying is even remotely as hateful... so it clearly came across as being quite a ways over the line. Also, 'hate speech' is one thing but they have skipped right past that to making threats of violence and actually carrying it out in some cases. That's WAY worse.
Oh and Trump and Melania were 'bullying her' because they weren't impressed with a pretty significant piece of 'art' that was OF THEM? You know, it wasn't that long ago in time that if you pulled a stunt like that you'd probably be captured and killed for it. They have every right to comment on it, probably more than anyone else actually.
I dunno, i just felt the whole apology just wasn't genuine, although i do think she was legitimately scared that she just fucked her whole life up over a stupid stunt. She wasn't sorry for what she did... if she was she wouldn't have been playing victim the whole time and slipping in anti-Trump comments and propaganda whenever she could, which seemed like she was just trying to grasp for some sympathy.. 'yeah was i did was wrong but Trump's an idiot, right guys?? are ya with me?'
She wasn't apologizing to him or his family, she was apologizing to all the people she had contracts with which have all been terminated.
If she had just owned it and left it at that, it would already be forgotten news by now.
