The song is a song of blood. The girl is calling for blood to feed the guillotine, to quench its thirst. It finally clicks to Ren who this girl is - the ghost girl. The child of punishment (with overtext saying 'the damned girl', pish posh tbqh).

And everything goes black. And when Ren's vision comes back, there he is, staring up at a guillotine amidst a crowd. And they all sing the same song, the girl's song.

"Blood, blood, blood, it wants blood."

And Ren is the one marked for execution. 'welp'. Turns out the timelines did merge, just not the way I was expecting.

No help comes. The only person to step forward is the executioner. Ren dies, and his blood runs all over the guillotine.

Fade to black. Time to wake up.
