I'm curious, can/could you still speak verbally like normal? I know deaf people have a tough time verbalizing so I don't know if this would have a similar effect. I imagine it would be hard but maybe not, you're able to write out words and perhaps verbalizing them yourself is a possibility since you already understand the words before you say them, as opposed to somebody else saying them when you have to process it afterwards.

Jeez, the brain is a crazy thing. We take for granted how well it usually works, but when I hear about stuff like this it really makes me think of it like some kind of organic electronic machine with bad connections.
