Yesterday I saw four people walking around, soon before they opened fire upon one another and added to the growing mounds of bodies, but today there was only silence (punctuated by echoes of distant gunfire). The grocery stores have become too dangerous to navigate, so I have to sustain myself by eating the bullet shells that cover every inch of ground, but I fear that I will soon have to resort to cannibalism once all my teeth fall out from chewing tempered brass. Every waking moment I wonder: Will I be one of the next 93 million to die from gun violence?
