Who in the fuck makes that? Unless you live where they tax 50% of an income over a certain amount that is not a reflection of what US teachers make.

That's per year prorated for a 10 month working period.

That's how teachers try and mislead you. "I don't get paid for 2 months". So you need to spread their annual salary over a 10 month period, and it's actually more than it seems.


I am a teacher, and I can assure you that our salaries are not that comfortable. I make 40k a year in ten months and that's barely enough to make ends meet with a family. And couple that with being a coach, I spend 60-70 hours working and am compensated very little. Teacher salaries are not on par with lawyers and doctors. Janitors do less work and make as much as I do.


Become a janitor, then.
