The films have been hit or miss and we haven't had a popular TV series in awhile. On top of that, how many X-men besides Wolverine or Mystique can the average person name? It's a totally stupid, asinine thing to say, but Devil's Advocate here, he's not exactly wrong about their waning popularity. Disney/Marvel has been intentionally sabotaging the X-Men.
