Disney/Marvel has been intentionally sabotaging the X-Men. Chris Claremont has already confirmed they're not allowed to create new mutants.
- No new Mutants, period. - Wolverine is dead (Old Man Logan still around, though) - No new Fantastic Four comics, at all
The comics guys are pretty angry about this. This is why you have Captain America Nazi.
Comics are supposed to be fun and am escape from reality. But of course money and legal cap ruin it all. I mean for Christ's sake, why would you give some 1 company rights to one character, another company rights to the characters, a 3rd company rights to these characters, etc. It's a mess.
Fans can't even play as a fucking xman because he owns this, she owns that, they said you can't use him, and on and on.
To be fair, Marvel had no choice when they sold off the movie rights back in the 90s; it was either that, or go bankrupt. ---
