Dontnod, the game developers for the original LiS, is planning on making a LiS 2 but with a totally new cast of characters. The only thing we don't know if its going to be in the same universe or not. I'm a little skeptical. Usually, a prequel explains something in the original so that the sequel won't have to waste time going in depth about what the prequel covered. I can't think of a game that got a prequel and the next one doesn't focus on the original cast.
