My Name Is Earl had four really solid seasons before ultimately ending before its time. It was a different kind of sitcom, and that was refreshing. These weren't your typical rich, successful 20-somethings who got into all kinds of misadventures in NYC and ultimately had everything work out for them. They did shitty stuff, and when they did, shitty stuff happened to them, and they had no one to blame but themselves. The main cast was all really solid, and while Earl was of course the focus, there was plenty of humor to be provided by the side characters.
