Topic	Male Doctor Who Fans are OUTRAGED that the 13th Doctor is a WOMAN!!!

It's perfectly within canon for this to happen, and I think it might allow for some fresh stories anyway. EDIT: Also, I've got to say, the woman they chose totally looks the part of the Doctor from every picture I've been seeing. It doesn't really make sense within the canon. No canonical regeneration has ever done that, nor has the canon suggested it could happen. SilverClock posted... I think it will help to expand the audience of the show by having more female viewers. I seriously doubt that most fans of the show will stop watching altogether because of the gender change. It's just the loud people getting all the attention right now. I wasn't too keen on an old man playing the role of the Doctor, but he impressed me. I think she looks the part. Their judgement as far as picking a Doctor hasn't let me down yet. I think you have the same mindset of the clueless executives who think the only way to appeal to women is by casting women, otherwise called pandering.
